Hi all.

I’m currently having some issues wiring my system.

Untill recently I had a 295 talking to an old Garmin 95SV which in turn sent the depth and position data to a computer for maxsea through the com port.

Recently the Garmin 95SV failed.

I’ve replaced the Garmin with a Furuno gp39
And can’t seem to get the system working again.

It seems I can either have depth data or position data coming though to the computer, but neither at the same time.

Will the GP39 accept the depth data then send that information to computer along with the position data at the same time?

I’ll attach a picture of my wiring diagram i currently have.

Many thanks.

You have the RS422 output of the GP39 going into an RS232 input on the PC? You would need a level converter between at minimum.

easiest: Actisense Opto-4 cable to bring the balanced rs422 0183 data into the PC.
also: various rs422-rs232 converters
not easiest but most flexible: rs422 to ethernet converter.
