New NAvPilot 711c install..Pilot is wiggling (hunting)

Installed a new pilot on a 40 cabo express (1.6 octo pump )
Boat steering is the hynautic hydraulic assist (engine driven) type steering.
Was fine during setup and initial SeaTrial.
First trip out I kept getting a "drive motor failure error" and wound up haviing to steer all night. Sea state was 5-7' 11sec period straight on the nose.

On way home, the drive motor error stopped (we were carrying much less wt in fuel and seas calmed down, but it was wiggling pretty aggressively while in auto...nav or auto didnt matter.

Assuming this is some type of sensitivity setting? im kinda confused by the manual on what to adjust.

Any advice on what to go to first?

Thanks in advance

When the boat is powered up, what is the hard over time from stop to stop?
Do you have an RRU installed?
What does the rudder test show for deadband and rate of turn?
Does the rudder test pass?

All test show passed

deaband is set to "auto" value was .5 when I toggled manual during the trip...i set to 1 on manual and no change...moved it back to auto.
I did not input a manual rate of turn whatever the default rate was. i think 5deg...didnt see a value after setup. I can go back and look

hard over stop i would estimate around 4 sec maybe?

I think we fixed the problem. There was too much voltage going to the pump. I was under the impression the course computer regulated the output voltage to the pump...ie...if it was a 12volt pump and the input to the computer was 24v (which it is). the computer would know to semnd 12v to the pump. Apparently that is not the case at least in my scenario.

We did a test w 12v going to the computer and the rudder speed is now 10sec to hard over.
