I just installed a new DFF3D to my TZT12. Everything works except the PBG does not record when turned on. DFF3D is turned on in charts. Did the latest update 3.70 and PBG and still not working
Sure I've gone through all the set up correctly. What have I missed?PXL_20241212_173615548.jpg

Please insure you have valid position and heading (sat compass or fluxgate compass). You do have data coming in but please make sure it is valid by comparing COG (GPS course over ground) to the heading box and make sure on a calm day they match when underway over 3 Kts.

Set up a screen to show the chart plotter, cross section, and the historical. Make sure you are painting bottom on the cross section as well as the historical. The actual PBG is best displayed on the chart plotter as depicted below.

Check the speed as well.

Did you install an SD card or Thumbdrive to hold the PBG data? I think you need that in addition to the card that comes with the TZT's

Just a guess without reading the manual

The SD card is already in the unit and can hold anything charted.

I do have the SCX 20 sat compass, works well with Radar and Autopilot. I have the speed filter on and maxing out at 15Kn. The transducer can still read at over 15Kn but losses bottom around 20 since it's a transom mount.

Plan on resting everything and starting over. When the weather settles down I'll get out an try it again.

Your 12" is a TZT3? Please ensure that you do not have TIDES GRAPH in any of your data boxes.
Besides turning on the PBG recording from the right side of the screen, you must swipe up from the bottom and ensure that PBG is set to display (ON). It would also be recommended to turn off SAT photo which uses the same layer.

Turns out it the NEMA plug wasn't plugged in properly to the unit. Need to say thank you to the Furuno dealer, Anchor Marine, here in Victoria.
Made a trip out to just check what was the issue and quickly solved it.
Frustrated at myself for not checking that.
