Hello I have 2 navnet vx2 and a dff box. I have 1 navnet vx2 at the lower helm and 1 on the tower at the upper station. I have a 585 at the lower station. What are my options to use the navnet vx2 and the 585 at the same time? The vessel is a 33 Blackfin with a 1kw thru hull transducer. Can I add an additional transducer to the boat or share the 1 kw with the navnet vx2 and the 585? I fish mostly offshore in depths of 300ft to 2500 ft. I would prefer to run both units at dual freqency, and not one at 200 and the other at 50. Thank you for your time.

You would most likely experience interference between the two units.
I would not advise it.
Airmar makes a switching box so you can switch between units, but only one will be on at a time.

Thank You Melville for the response. Is it possible to feed both the dff (Navnetvx2) and the 585 with one transducer, and have both operating at the same time? I would have a splitter cable made up the share the signal. Do I have any options to have both systems operating at the same time? We appreciate the Navnet's capablilties while using its Plotter, Radar as well as the underwater cameras we have being displayed on the navnet screen, however we love our 585, and have great confindence in what it is showing us.

You can't transmit both units at the same time with one transducer. Remember that they are listening as well as talking. Tha'st where the interference comes from. You can turn off the DFF1 when you're fishing on deck and visa versa when you are in the tower.

Melville thanks again for your help. I believe I may have known the answer, but did not want to accept it.
Thanks..... Bill
