navnet vx2 & navnet 1 compatabilty

last year I swapped my 10" 1 for a 10" vx2 I also have a 7" navnet 1. with the swap the radar doesn't work on the navnet 1 anymore also when im running at night with everything dimed the vx2 unit flashes when it refreshes. is the any adjustments on the vx2 to stop the flashing and I guessing that ill have to update the 7" to a vx2 to get the radar to work?

When you properly setup the NN1 7" unit to talk with a Vx2; it can see and share the radar just like it had with the older NN1. If you are getting a white flash during the redraw process on the Vx2 it is because it is using the Navionics software. About 97 percent of VX2 units/customers run the C-map software because of this redraw and other advantages the CMAP offers like Sirius weather receiver support. If you contact tech support we can talk you thru setting up your 7" unit properly for talking to a VX2. You might also discuss the possible conversion of your unit from Navionics to C-map while on the phone with them.

Interconnection drawing reflecting the connection/ports can be found on page S-1 of the install manual. If doing a direct connection between two NavNet units, it would be a cross over connection.
