Nav300

Finished the install yesterday, the old RRU worked great with the Navpilot. :jump Someone at tech support helped me with the wiring, much much appreciated.
I noticed the heading on the Nav300 is different than on my TZT2's . I think the TZT2's are set to correct the heading by a few degrees. Is there a way to set the correction in the Nav300? I could not find it in the menu. If not I guess I can do it in the PG1000 and then remove the correction in my TZT2's.
I only have the NMEA0183 outputs from the PG1000 hooked up to the Furuno IFNMEA adapter , would I have any more features if I also hooked up the NMEA0183 inputs?
With the Nav300 linked to 3 TZT2's should I change the "stand alone" setting?
Can I get the Nav300 to turn off with the "shutdown all equips" feature?

Thanks again for the help, I should be able to get the sea trial done soon. I am sure I will have more questions :furuno

Hello Lee,

The NavPilot 300 does offer a place to conduct a heading offset (pg 3-20) but it is for those NMEA 2000 compasses which can be connected. When done via the pilot, the offset is setup into the source NMEA 2000 compass, so everyone is on the same page. You will have to do the same (setup at the source) so that your Navpilot and TZT2 will get the same heading data (after you remove the offset in the TZT2). In your case, it can't be done via the Pilot. You will have to conduct the offset at the PG1000 compass.

Regards
Johnny
