The instructions say to use epoxy to fill the gap between transducer and transom. Is this always necessary (I had two other brands that did not require this)? Can silicone caulk be used instead of epoxy?
Whitediamond,
What transom transducer are you trying to install? The reason I ask is because I don't recall ever seeing the filling of the gap with epoxy instructions.
Whitediamond,
Thanks for noting the page. I can see where they would prefer epoxy because of its ability to flow into all the tiny voids. Try silicone to see what happens.
