Mount for DRS4DNXT and SCX 20

Just got my SCX 20 yesterday. 4DNXT is out on order still so I have some time to figure out a mount. I'd like to mount the scx20 on the upper portion of this mount (where the flir is pictured), probably on top of a little starboard flat pad customized to shape of scx20. I'm assuming this will be out of the 11 deg angle. How's this setup looking for the long term health of the SCX?

I'll be measuring to make sure I'm 3' away from my vhf antennae. Expecting that will be fine. No other obstructions on hardtop except rod holders that are 5-6' away.

As long as it's OK to put a hole in the top of it for the NMEA2000 cable, that will be a good mount.

It’s very innovative and unique.

The rule of course is line of sight to the horizon. I see many adequate flush mount installations on the hard tops that are most common. This space there typically is also ideal for a Furuno weather vane (FI70 Wind Package) or 220WX Weather Station.
