Does anyone know if a MFD is sensitive to its mounted location in close proximity to the reversible auto pilot hydraulic pump.The present location of the pump and then the placement of the display that will work best, puts the two within 6" of one another.

While I will ultimately defer the professional answer to this question to the Furuno staff, I would not think that there would be an issue with this mounting configuration. There is no compass sensor in the display, so as long as everything is properly grounded/shielded it should not cause any problems.

I wouldn't recommend it. Pumps have magnets and as a running motor they can put off noise while the magnets can mess up the LCD that close to the display. 6 inches is just wayyy to close. The heat created by the pump has a good chance of hurting the displays from getting the cooling that they need. Bad idea for so many reasons.
