Marine Radar FT-805D problem

I got an old Furuno Marine Radar FT-805D on our boat. It seems that everything works well when it heats up but after a while the picture is shifting up (see picture). My question is if this can be repaired/adjusted or there is a problem with the CRT and I need to think about a replacement.

thanks,
Marcus

It would have to be evaluated. It looks like it could be an adjustment or a bad capacitor on the deflection board. That is a very old unit 30+ plus years at least. Large pars like the CRT won't be an option but it might still be repairable if something simple.

Thanks very much, is there an easy way for me to troubleshoot?
I got the manual but could not find the instructions for adjustment.

I'm currently traveling so I can't get a professional service to evaluate.

regards,
Marcus

There is something like 5,000 volts on the flyback transformer. We don't talk customer through working on the internals due to liabilities. You would need to see what infomation (like service manual) that your dealer is willing to share.
