I have a MFD8. I have 3 GPS sources -- a GP-32 (an ancient but functional backup), a GP330, and my AIS unit.
The GP-32 had a rollover years ago, no big deal. The GP330 rolled over in 2022, so I shifted my date input to the AIS unit. Unfortunately, it seems the AIS rolled over late last year (like the GP330, there was zero manufacturer warning of this, and I found it out while out on a summer cruise).
I am now in the position of having no functional date on the MFD8, until I return home and can buy a new GPS receiver. I have changed my timezone, so the time is correct but the date is still very wrong. This means that my tide chart and currents are wrong.
Is there any way to manually input the date/time (and block all GPS time sources)? I really don't care about to-the-second accuracy -- just like the clock on the wall, I only need it close. This would allow me to use the tide/current features, very useful when anchoring where tides are large.
