Internal sounder and side scan issues

Just removed a 12” TZT3 and replaced it with a TZTXL 16. I am reusing all the sensor, radar and transducers from the TZT3. I have a TM904 side scan and a M135M tank mounted transducer. The M135M is the same elements as the B175M but just a different mounting style. On the TZT3 I would manually select B175M and I did this on the XL.

Everything worked great on the TZT3. I can’t get either the internal fish finder or side scan to work now. I have updated to the newest software and went into service man and did a factor reset.

I am getting an error that says “fish finder invalid transducer combination” on the internal sounder. If i try and turn the sounder on it will start but almost immediately go back into standby.

The side scan isn’t giving any errors but when I turn it on it’s also almost immediately going back into standby.

Any suggestions on what to do next?

Quick update.

It’s my understanding TD-ID works at initial startup. I disconnect the plug and plugged it back in after the unit powered up. No error. Selected B175M and it works! While it’s not feasible to unplug the sonar every startup I think I isolated the issue to the TD-ID.

I would like to setup the transducer manually but it won’t allow. When I reset the defaults, even with the transducer unplug it defaults back to “model” and “manual” isn’t an option???

Also, structure scan is still not working.
