Importing Waypoints To GP1971F

Suppose I have a list of waypoints( Name, LAT/LOT) that I have created from my third party RipChart satellite temperature imaging application , and I wish to import them into my GP1971F as points and appear in my point list, with the name, and LAT LON coordinates preserved? Is this even possible.

Hello PF,

It’s possible, you would need to make sure that you can convert the waypoints you created from the third-party app into a gpx format (only NAME/LAT/LON) No Satellite imaging. There’s various of navigational pc software that can convert points such as Andren, GPS Utility etc... BUT if you can’t convert them then unfortunately it won’t work. The GP1971F is compatible to import points in a gpx format through the micro sd slot on the side of the display.
