I recently acquired a GD1900c that was at a lower station virtually unused.

I replaced my 1942 Mark 2 with it. Can I interface it to my GP 1870F for the GPS connection or do I need to install its own antenna. The GD 1900c came from the west coast and I'm in North Florida and the maps for this area are not loading assuming the GPS coordinates need to be at its present position.

You can take the NMEA output from the GP1870 (White+ and Blue-) and wire it up to a 7 pin NMEA cable to data port one (Yellow+ and Green-) to bring in NMEA GPS. As long as the GP1870 has a good fix and you turn on the GPS sentences to go out, then configure the NavNet one display to GPS source of ALL; it should work very well for you. Mapping might not be related but you should get GPS into the unit first and see.
