HUB101 & network switch combo functionality

Reading up on the HUB101 before install. My dealer went under so am trying to sort things out as I prepare installation...

I plan to have a HUB101 & a Pakedge switch (24 ports). I was thinking of eliminating the HUB101, but read tonight that one functionality of the HUB101 is that it can turn on devices when one MFD is turned on. Here is my list of devices I plan to have connected to the HUB101, could anyone tell me if indeed the following connected devices will then turn on automatically upon powering up the master MFD?

HUB101 ports:
1)PH TFT2L15F (stbd) (Chartmaster, and the one I'd turn on to get things going)
2)PH TFT2L15F (port)
3)BBWX3
4)DFF1
5)AIS (FA170)
6)DRS6ANXT radar
7)DRS4DNXT radar
8)this port would be to connect to the vessel LAN

So, am I correct that a come-alive signal will go out to the other 6 devices when I power up the stbd MFD?

Follow up qtn: I will have a 3rd, Flybridge, TFT2L15F that I'll connect to the LAN switch. It won't lose any functionality being connected to the switch instead of the hub will it??

Thanks :capt

You are talking about the power/sync abilities of the Hub101. That is ONLY for the NN3D system. You do not need and can NOT use power sync with the TZT2 series. The Hub101 would work fine but you would have to turn off the power/sync switches to use it with the TZT2 system. I don't know the details of the Pakedge switch you are planning to use but my search came up with many of them being POE (power Over Ethernet). You can not use POE for the devices on your list. It could damage them. You say that you are intending to connect your NavNet network to your boat network? Why? This would be greatly discouraged. The NavNet has nothing to gain from your boat network except loss of bandwidth and most possible problems.
