If I am only running one 12in NN3d MFD with 4kw radar, 1 kw sounder with DFF1, and GPS antenna do I need the hub or BBwx2? My understanding was that I only needed it if I wanted to integrate two or more screens. Thanks.

Thanks for using the Furuno Forum for your question. Basically you have three network devices, the MFD12, Radar and DFF1. Since the MFD12 only has one network connection you will need a Hub or BBWX2 to combine everything. If you choose to go with a BBWX2 route please keep in mind that the radar will need to plug into both the MFD12 (for power) and the BBWX2 (network) so the two units should be fairly close together.
