I’ve recently installed a used Furuno FSV85 sonar on my vessel. Everything seems to be working fine in terms of the signal and data display, but I’m facing an issue with the keyboard.
After powering on the sonar, the keyboard works for a few minutes and then becomes unresponsive. However, the sonar data continues to display and update normally on the screen.
The company that sold us the sonar informed us that it was working fine before shipment and that the keyboard had no issues.
I’m trying to determine whether the problem is with the keyboard itself or possibly with the processor unit. I’d like to avoid ordering a replacement keyboard unless I’m sure it’s the source of the issue.
Has anyone experienced this problem before? If so, how did you fix it?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
