Help connecting DFF UHD1 Plus to B175 HW

I just installed the DFF 1 Plus into my system. I previously had the B175HW connected with bare wires to the DFF 1. I cut the end off the blue plug adapter and soldered the wires blue-blue, black-black, orange-orange, brown-brown, white-white. It then tied the transducer bare to the bare that is paired with the blue black.
I fired up the xl 24 and chose the "model" and "B175 HW" in the menu. I activated the transmit selection while on the trailer. It started bouncing around ranges but not emitting any audible click. The temperature also is not working.
Does anyone have any advice?

We do not recommend attempting this as it is not color for color or the intended use.
We have pigtails that are intended for these applications.

Just updating this thread for others that may be in this situation, the transducer has to be wires to the "low" side of the pigtail not the "high" side that you would figure be required to run the HW transducer. The transducing is emitting audible clicks now but seemingly not as strong as the DFF1 was. I have not used in the water yet but will update after spending some time with it.

It sounds like it should be color for color except for the main transducer wires (BLACK AND BLUE) which would need to wire over to Black/white tracer and Blue/White tracer so that it goes into the correct channel on the UHD+.
Yes color for color except the pigtail uses blue and black striped leads. I spent some time with the sounder in the gulf and am happy to report the side scan and 175 HW are working well.
