Helm chair control options for 711 / TZT3?

I have a Stidd helm chair with an outdated, disconnected trackball. I'm pulling the ugly box off the chair.

What are others doing for autopilot controls on helm chairs? 711C remote? Should I try the MCU006 instead?

Stidd has a mount for the 711C, but it requires an expensive new custom armrest.

I didn't have the space for an MCU006 so I got the touch encoder TEU001. It's a little quirky and only controls one display. I can control the autopilot but only by using an autopilot data box in the left side set of data boxes. I have used an MCU006 and I think that's what you want if it will fit (there are vertical and horizontal versions). Isn't that a 711C control head in the picture? Is that not your own helm?

In any case, you can use the MCU006 to control the autopilot and most features of the TZT3 as well, so much more versatile than a 711C control head.

Thanks Quitsa. Can you use the rotary knob to steer?

Yes, that is a pic of my helm chair and 711C. The armrest box and dead trackball will be removed. And the rotary knob on the 711C isn't working.
If I do an MCU006 on the chair, I'll get the 711C repaired and move it to the dash.
Strangely, there is no autopilot control on the pilot house dash on my boat. It must have been removed when the larger screens were installed.
