Hi there. Simple question really! I am installing a GP39 on my boat and need to remove the coax plug from the antenna cable to pass through bulkheads etc....but how do you remove plug. Manual says remove with 3/8th inch open wrench and needle nose pliers but the plug appears to be a compression fitting. If so what type of plug do I need to source to replace with a removable version? Thanks for any help

Unless they changed it, the connector is reusable and comes a part as they describe.
Yes some of the newer units are no longer using the GPA017 antenna. You must have the newer GPAC01 antenna. I haven't seen the connectors on those. I suspect you are correct you must replace the connector completely.
