GP1971F and 525STID-PWD

I have purchased a GP1971F to replace my older Furuno chart plotter. I use a P66(525STID-PWD) and even though this model is supported by the GP1971F I plan to purchase a new P66 as the existing unit is over 17 years old. Since this transducer is a "multi ducer" providing speed and temperature readings, will the GP1971F be able to display temp and speed as well using this transducer? I did not see it mentioned in the GP1971F owners manual, or perhaps I missed it. Thank You.

Hello pfrith44,

Yes, you can display water speed (STW), water temp, water depth etc… on the GP1971F. As long as you have good data provided to the display, you can customize the databox to display whatever you would like in the data box column on the left-hand side of the screen.

Excellent, and thanks very much. So when I customize the data box by swiping left to right. I'll add Temp and Speed on that menu list.

That is correct. Swipe right from the left edge of the display to pullout the data box and add temp and speed.
