I would like to suggest "parameter profiles" for the GP1871f device.
They are extremely easy to implement as the core functions are already there.
When saving the configuration to the sd card we can provide a "name" and so we have a "parameter profile".
Multiple profiles will be available under different file"names".
When the device powers up we are asked to load a "parameter profile" from the sd card or continue as usual.
Or there is a menu selection to load a "parameter profile".
This way we can have different configurations for diffferent users, different transducers or even different fishingstyles.
