I just bought a boat with this unit on it but I can’t find a gps chart that is compatible. Does anyone have a recommendation of where I can purchase a chip for the east coast, Virginia to Florida?

There are no more new chart chips available/made by the chart manufacturers for the GP1850WDF. If you want one, you'll have to make sure what type of chip you would need and try to find a used one on eBay or someplace similar. Your best bet would probably be to just replace it with a GP1871F, GP1971F, or even a NAVnet TZT3 or XL system. In that older machine you will need a pocket full of 20+ year old chart cards to go from Virginia to FL. They didn't have wide coverage like newer systems offer. 20 year old charts are not likely to be that reliable either. Reapers advice is well founded.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking the unit was just too old and I should probably replace it.
