GP 1870/f loading problem

Hi. I have a furuno gp 1870/f end some times when I turn on the unit it hang on loading forever. The only way to restart the unit is to disconnect the power source. Is this a software or hardware problem? Also I want to ask how can I reset the odometer(ODD?)

Do you currently have a chart card inserted in card slot? if so, try removing it and see if the lag still occurs. Sometimes the lag can be caused by a bad or corrupt card. If the problem persists, I recommend a Default Reset.

To clear the memory, got to MENU, SYSTEM, DEFAULT SETTINGS, CLEAR MEMORY and DEFAULT SETTING.

When displayed in a data box, the Trip log can be reset in the data selection dialog box under the "Select Data" Roto-Key option, but the Odometer can only be reset by doing a full Default Reset on the GP1870F and erasing all memory.
