Go1971f software update C-MAP issue

Hi,

I’ve just downloaded and applied the latest v3 update and now the unit restarts when the C-MAP card is inserted. If Intake the card out, it boots fine. I’ve tried factory reset and still no joy with the card. Not sure what else to try so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

There was some problems with CMAP cards causing problems like you report. I would suggest contacting C-map to see if you can get a replacement card.

Thanks Johnny. I bought a new card today and it worked fine. I’m going to update the maps and then see if it still works. Strange because the card scans fine.

Just to complete this post, I have since update the new C-Map card to the latest maps and it is working fine in the Gp1971f now. No further reboots and if anything, unit appears to boot quicker so I'll confirm this as being a faulty card as per Johnny's original reply.
