Furuno TZTL12 Interfacing help

Hello I am trying to connect to a Yamaha 6Y8 Type speedometer using GPS NMEA 0183 from the TZT2 directly to the NMEA input on the back of the gauge.
The Gauge doesn't seem to decode it.
I am looking for any detailed instructions,
Would be greatly appreciated.

You would need to find out what NMEA sentence that the gauge is wanting. Once you know what it needs, you will go into the TZTL12F NMEA 0183 setup and ensure that the baud rate is 4800 and the NMEA version level is the same as required by the gauge. Lastly you will want to turn on only the NMEA sentences that the gauge requires. If you too ON too many un-needed sentences, nothing will come out.
