Furuno FIP-460 camera

It can but requires some configuration work. It would be setup on the same IP addresses set in the TZT, TZT2, or TZT3 for the Axis camera(s). The FIP-460 out of box is setup for easy use with the XL series. While it can be used for many of the prior systems, it would require someone to use a PC and configure the camera.

Have FIP 460 installed on my Cabo in engine room and would like to finish set up to work on TZT3 network that also includes PC running TZ Pro. Who at Furuno could walk me through this? Currently camera is powered by 12v dc existing source and have 35ft cat 8 shielded Ethernet cable connected to Netgear Switch which is the hub for my Furuno network.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it the Axis camera sheet? Is there a specific person in tech support more familiar with the new camera. Is have called twice and they seem to have limited info. I would figure being a Furuno product the ability and how to work on TZT3 would be well documented.

Fav feature so far is that camera is very low profile and I don’t hit my head whenever sitting between engines like I did with previous Raymarine bullet style camera.

Now I need to decide if I can find a tasteful location to mount the second camera in salon.

Please make sure as you are looking at the camera image on the MFD that the port eng is on your left. If you need to flip L and R do it using the laptop.

Second camera went even quicker and no need to download application as IP is same out of box as last camera. Just started on that step in the instructions. Very happy overall with new Furuno cameras.

Can the FIP-460 camera be configured to work with TZTBB and TZT2BB ?

If yes, please advise on camera configuration details.

If mixing TZTBB (TZT series one) with TZT2BB (Series 2) the TZT2BB must be an early hardware version so that v6 software can be loaded so it can properly network with the older v6.03 of the TZT series one. Then you can setup the camera as discussed in this thread above and put it on the network as an IP camera like the Axis.
