Furuno FCV-588

I bought a FCV588 three years ago. Used for one season and then removed from boat. Reinstalled to a Plymouth Pilot 18 in UK waters - first outing today. All very good for first three hours and then the screen lost all sensible content - no picture and side depth showing to 600 ft in only +- 40ft of water. Is it possible to do a factory reset on this model? Suggestions please. Thank you all best Rob

Not sure if I am in the correct thread but I would like some advice In pairing a FCV 588 with a 1kw Transom or Thru Hull transducer.
It would be use for Deep drop up to 1800 ft. Which transducer can I pair it with for best results.
I will truly appreciate the help.

Kind regards.

Jmercado3176,

If you are looking for a transducer for your FCV588 that will get you down to that desired depth of 1800 ft (548 meters), then I would recommend considering the 556TID-HDD. This is a B260 style transducer that has dual frequency of 50/200kHz in 1kW of power, and it features a 10-Pin Connector with a built in diplexer and a high speed fairing block.

This transducer's 50kHz low frequency side has 20° beam width that will get you down to that depth of around 1800-2500 ft. (548-762 meters), and the 200kHz high frequency side has a 6° beam width that should provide a depth range of 700-1000 ft. (213-304 meters).

- Deep Blue :)
