Hi Guys, Need some help to validate if the Furuno 165T-50/200-TM260 Transducer that works for f/DFF3D in Transom Mount Combo package will work with bottom discrimination and accufish?

Any one with success mounting a Transom mount and yield good result at speed --> 22-24 knots?

Thank You
Peter

maxima,

The 165T-50/20-TM260 does not have any Bottom Discrimination or the Accufish capabilities, mainly due to fact that the AIRMAR B164 Elements had to be used to fit within the TM260 Housing along with the DFF3D Element.

The best performing transducer for the speeds (22-24 knots) that you want, is going to be a Thru-Hole Transducer utilizing a Fairing Block. Please note that Transom Mount Transducers will always be susceptible to turbulence issues by nature of where they are mounted.

Can I check if I have 2x TZT3 MFD + DDF3D module, I can connect to TM54 and also 1 of the TZT3 can power up dual channel chirp M265LH ?

Going to run at max 120m deep water and most cases around 40-80m deep. will dual channel chirp M265LH transducer be good setup for Bottom details?

My understanding is bottom discrimination don't work pass 60-80m waters?

maxima,

Yes, the B54 Transducer connects directly to the DFF3D Module, and the DFF3D Module connects by Ethernet Cable to a Hub or the Network Cable on the TZT3 MFD. So, you can connect a M265LH Transducer to one of the TZT3 MFD's, as long as both MFDs are connected via Network connections to share the data. And you can run both DFF3D and Echo Sounder Screens at the same time.

The M265LH Transducer should work well for your application, but be advised that it will not provide any type of Bottom Discrimination Capability. To get a Bottom Discrimination list of capable transducers, you can look under TZT3 , then under "Accessories", then go to "Bottom Discrimination Transducers"

Please note that Bottom Discrimination is only good down to depths of 328 ft. (approx.100 Meters)

I hope this information helps..?

Hi Deep Blue, does Furuno TZT3 recognise a dual channel chirp M265LM or only dual channel chirp M265LH make sense? Can you point me to any reputable online Furuno Pro shops that I can order the full system and have technical capabilities to walk me thru the correct parts/accessories. Please drop me an email at peterpehcc@gmail.com

I plan to install all by myself.

Thank You,
Peter
