Frequency Scanning ??

Hi,

I have been told that some chirp sounders have the capability to scan the Transducer frequency's and auto select the most optimal one for the conditions? or is it that the sounder uses and displays multiple frequency's? I am somewhat new to the chirp technology and I am trying to educate my self on it. thank you

Good question.
I have heard of a few sounders that claim to have those capabilities. Just know that CHIRP transducers really only have two true resonate points. So while having a sounder capable of displaying more than two channels may not be a benefit over a sounder that is tuned to the transducers sweet spot.
