FM-4000

Trying to connect a FM-4000 NMEA in and out to the MFD12. Where at the MFD12? I already have 7 pin connector to 330B, RJ45 to the hub, the NMEA2000 to can bus. I try to look up the 18pin connector pin out, but to where?

thanks for your help.

thanks.. if I read this correctly, from the FM4000, blue goes to pin 1, green to 2, Grey to 3 and brown to 4.. or 7,8,9,10. Does it matter to port 2 or port 3?

as for the MMSI. how do I reset that number? a friend of mine gave me his FM4000 and he has his number in there.

thanks for your help.

If you only trying to get GPS to the radio, it would be two wires. It doesn't matter if you use PORT 2 or PORT 3 of the MFD12. Below is an example of using PORT 2

MFD12 18-Pin -------------------- FM4000

Red (+ out) ---------------------- Blue (+ input)
Red/White ( - out)-------------- Green (- input)

The FM4000 user manual page 35 explains the MMSI.

The MMSI can be inputted only once and if reflag is needed a dealer with required equipment for Furuno Service center would need to be involved in getting the unit reflaged.

If the local dealer isn't nearby you can send it in for service (~$125 and return shipping) to:
