Flir md-625 on xl 24’s

Looking to hook up my Flir md625 to my xl’s the Flir is networked and the mfd’s recognize it with the ip address but just displays a black screen. I attached a couple photos of what I see any info would help. I know on my tz3’s I had to use my laptop to configure it. I’m a brand ambassador for Furuno so I push the product and use it a lot and have a lot of people that contact me for questions so the more I understand it the better I can help. thank you!

A couple of things to check. First, make sure that the DHCP server is turned off on all other MFDs other than your chart master. This is of course if you have more than one TZTXL on the vessel. This is to ensure that we are not running into any IP conflicts.

Also, in "Camera Settings", turn off "Use as Tracking Camera". The MD625 is a stationary camera without pan/tilt.

I have 2 24’s, it’s off on one and on the master. Turned tracking off, still nothing.

I would recommend talking to FLIR as they had some older firmware that has some black screen issues they have since resolved. Likely you need to update to the newest software with FLIR

Flir Md-625 is analog video only. The Flir tech recommends using a analog to Ethernet converter.

I would recommend using the analog video input on the TZTXL. This would require the Multi Cable - 001-647-020-00

Analog to Ethernet is unlikely to work.
As @SilverKing suggests, I would recommend taking the unit direct in with composite.

Ok I’ll try the multi cable. What end is on the multi cable. I believe the flir cable is a BNC conector.

BNC to RCA adaptor is typically needed. Amazon is a good source if you don't have one. Can't wait to hear about your success.
