Hi I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the 88b-10 paired with a 295 for deep water bottom fishing?

Frequency trumps power when it comes to going deep. This transducer falls into the commercial fishing products. We focus on the Light Marine consumer products on this forum so you won't find many of the commercial products discussed here. The FCV295 is a bit of a crossover product so we have a lot of topics containing it, yet that transducer will find limited traction here. That transducer is very commercial fishing but used mostly for HF not LF. I was hoping someone might offer you a response. My thought is if you are going deep you need lower frequency than 88khz. I suppose that depends on what your definition of deep is.

Thanks Johnny, my idea of deep is 4-700m. Do you think 88khz is going to work for that depth?

Your talking about 2300ft of depth. Using 88Khz might not cut it. I really don't think it will.
That is a medium to high freq and that will limit the depth range. Ideally you want a transducer with a lower freq than 88khz because I would expect you will be limited to about 1500ft in real word conditions maybe even less using that freq. To get that depth I would expect you would need 50khz or lower in freq.
