Connecting nmea 2000 devices together is so much easier that 183 devices. I hope every new unit produced by every manufacturer uses this system. Also, I see that there are a few VHF radios on the market that have bluetooth built into them. I think this would be a handy thing to have in sonars and plotters too as it can be hard to hear a phone ringing on a boat when running around but if your screen started indicating an incoming call it would be much more noticeable in my opinion.

Just an idea..

Jfield,
Thanks for your email. You are right that most newer products have some sort of NMEA 2000 capability. I will pass your ideas along to our product develeop team.

Also Some fish finders have sonar log feature that records what is shown to screen giving you the opportunity to analyze it on pc later. it would be nice an FCV with this feature.
