FCV-585 operation

Just wanna see if any kind folks here can help me.

I am looking to putting FCV-585 with 526TID-HDD transducer, but I am going to run a 100 meters cable between them.

Is this set up doable?

Do you just need a digital readout or are you look to see a tread of what the seabed is doing? Is this a yacht application or commercial?

We are looking to see the seabed for commercial purpose.

The length of the transducer cable will affect the sounders overall performance. We have a few tow boat operators who are using FCV-627's and placing transducers on the front end of their barges. They use water proof slices that are the length of the barge so depending on how many barges they are pushing is how many splices they need. The sounders performance decreases with every added barge but the performance is good enough for the waters they are working in.
