FCV 1100 in Centre Console

Is there any way to modify the FCV 1100L so that it can be used in a centre console which will see a fair amount of splash and spray? Has anyone had experience with specialized housing or similar to enable this?

The FCV-1100 doesn't like water so mounting on a center console is difficult. I have seen only one mounted in a center console and it had a hinged splash guard arrangment. The console had a raised lip around the sounder opening so if water got under the guard it was directed away from the sounder.
