FA50 not transmitting

Hi. My AIS was receiving but not transmitting . I completed his update and now I have nothing. How can I find out if it really worked. I am not really up to speed with networking. But my MFD12 network to my laptop is a different DNS than what the update procedure says to change it. Confused. Cheers. https://www.furunousa.com/en/support/fa50

What are the light indications on the FA50 AIS unit after 4 mins?

Sorry, been cruising. OK I worked out that the ip address needed to be changed back to my network. Also I had the two wires open and not closed. Think I read somewhere they needed to be open. If I find it again I will let you know.

The silent mode wires should not be connected if you wish to transmit.

Hi. I will let you know in a couple of days when I see other boats. But when I connect them the blue light flashes about once per 10 seconds.

Blue light means it is transmitting. That is what you want to see. If you see blue it is going out.

Yes I have a blue light. The wires are joined.

Just an update. You are right the wires are separate. I seen that they were twist together but found the ends not touching. Thankyou for your help.
