FA50- INTERNAL GPS

Dear All

Is possible use a FA50 AIS without the internal GPS . The customer is asking me if possible use only the external NMEA gps .

The FA50 AIS unit will not transmit if the provided GPS (GPA017) is not connected.
Using an external GPS is NOT a substitute to the required "internal" GPS being provided by the GPA017.
