FA-50

I just installed and enter ship info for the FA-50. I noticed the default RX1 is set to CH.2087 and RX2 is set to CH.2088. I normally travel around the San Francisco bay area coast line. Is there a link I can see what I should set this to in my area? I am unable to locate.

Also, in the MFD, I selected target and did not see any AIS selection. How do I turn that on?

The did the self test and it appears to be working.

In the installation wizard of the NN3D you need to go to data source and select the source for AIS.

Yes, the data source is set to FA-50. AIS is set. When checking the sensor data, the screen is blank. Message is blank My transponder version is 0550233-02.02. Only the power light is on, the other three lights are blank. How do I trigger TX and RX?

Do you have an external switch for Silent mode? Normally if in Silent mode it would have TX light be flashing ORG.
Remove power and check inside that ALL the dip switches on S5 are set to OFF.

You have the newest software. Normally if connected to good antennas, the RX light will flash as the unit picks up targets and if your unit is setup with the MMSI and boat name the TX light will light BLUE every 3 Minutes (don't blink as it is a quick flash).
