after playing with my unit this morning I’ve come to the conclusion I won’t get down imaging like I had on my Humminbird. I’ll just have the typical 2d sounder. I’m not sure if I had the dff3d transducer if I would get a similar screen like a humminbird sounder or not. I’m thinking the term downimaging means two different things to each manufacturer.
I have a B175 that is spec’d to be used on the sonar and the 455t-903 that is spec’d to be used for the side scan. Am I missing something? Should I add the ddff transducer?
When I asked the salesman about the dff3d he said it was built into my unit. So my guess is I might need another transducer to utilize it.
In all honesty I didn’t use downimaging much on my HB anyway.
