Difference between GPA017, GPA017S and GPA017S/S

Hello,

This question is for a Furuno technician. What is the difference between the GPA017, GPA017S and GPA017S/S antennas?

All coaxial GPS antennas. GPA017 will come with a 10 meter cable attached with no breaks. The GPA017S (Short cable) is like the GPA017 but has only a short cable about 6" designed to connect to a longer extension. These are typically used on some of the commercial units we don't discuss here. The GPA017S/S is the same as the normal short antenna but it has extra shielding again for some of the commercial products that require IMO approvals etc. Functional they work off the same core 5v and almost the same except for the items I explained and certifications that some particular models hold with IMO.
