After a haul out in Dec 23 my DFF3D no longer provides good signal in any direction but vertical.

I have updated the DFF3D to latest firmware and reset to factory settings.
Using TZTL15F and TZT9F MFDs. Incorporated in the network are two TZERO Pro setups with latest software.
for trouble shooting the TZERO systems are shut down.

What is my next step?

sjmeyer,

I'd check all the connections going into DFF3D, including the transducer's connections. Then try doing a factory reset of the unit to see if clears the unit...

Re-terminated transducer cable taking extra care with grounding. Did factory reset by powering up with dip switch 4 in on position.

No improvement. Anything else to try?

sjmeyer,

At this point, I recommend that you have the transducer checked by a local Authorized Furuno Dealer.

Hello sjmeyer

I have a customer with similar problem, but no cross section. Did you find any solution on your problem?

Bought a new transducer. Rigged a float to test new transducer and everything worked fine. Will switch out transducers during upcoming haul out.
Hello
I measured the channels with multimeter and we found that the transducer was way off. Same as you I guess. Did you have any idea what happend? The transducer here was very well protected.

My transducer was also well protected from impact or sling damage. I can only guess that it got left transmitting on last haul out. If transmitting out of the water can cause a failure think that's the cause ?

This transducer turned bad at sea. Not at docking. Furuno Norway is lending us a transducer for testing som we can be sure.
I have heard roumers about water leak in other transducers.
But we dont know before the transducer is sendt to furuno for autopsy.

(Apologize for my bad spelling)
