DFF3 Not powering on

Received a DFF3 from a friend who replaced electronics in his boat.

Said unit was working when taken out.

Hooked up power to bench test and no green led light turns on.

Does it need to have the tx-ducer and MFD connected to power up?
Or should the green light come on regardless if its functioning ?

Thanks

Moonzy1,
I think you will find the #1 on dip-switch S2 needs to be set to on if you want the DFF3 to power up with just power applied. See below.

Monnzy1,
The main fuse is in the power cable. However there is another fuse on the circuit board that the power cable connects to. It is not in a fuse holder, but is soldered on to the circuit board.

Ok so there is protection beyond the power cable fuse to protect the board?

Can you show me any schematics or tell me exactly how to locate the fuse so I can test to see of that's the problem?

Thanks so much Snips!!

Below is a picture of the fuse, it is a CCFIN15TTE 15A. It is on the circuit board that the power plug socket is soldered to.
