What would be the best in hull transducer for a 24 degree hull fishing mostly in 150 feet or less.

For your needs I would recommend looking at 525T-LTD/20. 24 degrees is the max angle it supports otherwise you would have to consider using a faring block and a transducer like the 525STID-MSD.

Really one perfect option it is the Furuno 520-IHD. The hull can't be crazy thick. You might want to look over the install instructions.

Johnny, Have everything up and running but the P66 is loosing bottom as soon as the boat gets up on plane. After coming to a rest, takes about 5 minutes before reading again. I have been adjusting the transducer but stays same. Boat has 24.5 degrees of dead rise.

Any transom mounted transducer is going to be prone to turbulence. The best you can do is to get them as close to the center line on the transom as possible. Going with an in-hull transducer may be a little better but it will still be susceptible to turbulence.

Going to try and adjust the P66 a couple more times. Looks like I'm going to install a through hull.
