Connecting NavNet vx2 to NavPilot 300

Being a total novice in these things.

Is it possible to connect a NavNet vx2 to an NavPilot 300 using an NMEA 0138 Gateway? (https://www.yachtd.com/products/nmea0183_gateway.html )

I'm looking for an autopliot with remote control which will work with the NavNet vx2 as I fish alone a lot and have moved from a centre console to a Grady White Seafarer 228 which has the NavNet vx2. The helm is not as accessible as in the centre console so the need for remote control.

While we have not tested that device it should work.
We have of course tested our 2000/0183 converter, the IF-NMEA2K2. I'd suggest using it instead.
