C-Map Unit next to a Navionics Unit

I have a NavNet 1 RDP-139 / Navionics that I just sent in to Furuno for repair. Next to that unit on the helm is the Smaller GD1700 also Navionics. They are networked together for Sounder, 12kw Radar and Chart plotter, there is also Auto-Pilot and a heading sensor for radar /chart overlay.. The total tab will be close to $1000 to repair my RDP-139.

I have a spare RDP-139 with C-map charts that I was going to use on my project boat. But now I'm thinking I would like to install that unit back into the same hole that my other unit came out of and be back in business. I know the 2 units wont read each others charts, but would they work independently of each other?

You are correct, they won't share charts.
But they will share everything else in the network.
