I can use either of these C-Map "Contour Maps"....

"NT+" or "MAX". The NT+ is less money.

Is there any difference in detail or info.....
or is the only difference the "Coverage Area" ?

Since we don’t make the charts here is a link to the C-Map Jeppesen website:
http://ww1.jeppesen.com/marine/lightmar ... charts.jsp
There is a comparison of what you get with each, but I believe the contours would be the same. Check it out first and you can contact them directly. They have always been very helpful to our customers. :respect

I'm under the impression
Furuno charts are
Jepperson products....not true ?

I'm not really sure I understand the question. Jeppesen (C-Map) makes charts that can be used by a number of manufacturers. Which GPS plotter do you have?

I asked this ? here at the Furuno forum with the understanding Jeppesen makes
Furuno branded electronic charts for Furuno. Just as ICOM makes Furuno VHF's.

Am I mistaken ?

btw, GPS is a GP 7000F

The charts for that are used in the GP7000 are not branded Furuno.
Furuno USA does not carry or sell charts for this unit. When a dealer sells you a chart for the GP7000 they are ordering it from Jeppesen.

Simply put, (while dating myself), is "We make the record player and they make the records"

I understand the confusion. :think

Yes, those part numbers use the Jeppesen datacore but are produced by MapMedia. Those chart listings are not available to work with a GP7000. They were designed for NavNet 3D, MaxSea Time Zero software, and NavNet TZtouch.

The charts you need are the same ones used by C-Map version NavNet vx2.

I'm glad you were able to find the information on the NT vs. MAX. :jump
