Best TM Transducer for the TZtouch2?

My new boat delivers in two weeks and I have ordered (to be installed myself) Furuno Navnet TZtouch2 12.1 and the Furuno Drs4d-Nxt radar. The boat is a Kingfisher 26ft pilot house and is an aluminum boat so I will not be using a thru hull transducer. It has welded on transducer pads for mounting the transducer so what is the best transom mount transducer I can buy to use here? I want make sure I can use the Rezboost and bottom discrimination functions but am unsure as to EXACTLY which TM transducer to buy to make sure this is possible. Thank you in a advance for your time regarding this silly question but I thought it better to come here and ask this of you guys who actually know rather than some other board where the information could prove to be incorrect..

Bsfilter,
Selecting the "right" transducer plays a significant role in the performance of the echo sounder and its good that you are doing your homework before you purchase. Based on the particulars that you listed the 525STID-PWD meets all of the specifications that you have requested. It's a 600w output rated transducer, transom mount, 50 & 200khz which are the correct frequencies for the TZTL12F, and includes water temperature and speed thru-water (STW)sensor. This transducer is capable of the RezBoost and Bottom Discrimination features of the TZtouch2.

Thank you Flatline! One last question and I'll sit down again. The 525 STID-PWD is a 600W TD but I was also looking at the 525TID-TMD which is a 1KW transducer. Would the 1KW td not seriously outperform the 600w td? I know that I would lose Rezboost and Bottom Discrimination but would the overall performance not outweigh the benefits (if any) of the Rezbboost and BD functions? I just want to buy the best TM TD available for the TZT2 machine. Thank you for your time sir...

Bsfilter,
The 525TID-TMD would be a step up. The 525TID-TMD uses four elements instead of one. This narrows the beam width thus focusing the power in a narrower cone. The big trick will be getting smooth water flow going over the face of the transducer at speed.

It should be more about the best for your type of fishing than what's made for the unit. How deep will you be fishing? Because as stated the angle is narrower on the 1kW and unless you are fishing deep regularly the 600W will do just fine. I use it for Striped bass fishing and can see individual bait and stripers stacked but never fish over 100 ft.
