There really is no one setting that I can give you to say "this will work". However I can say I would start off by using a screen advance of 1/1, TX power at 10 and TX Rate set at 20. Out of the box the TVG settings on the FCV-295 are set for deeper waters (600ft). If you are fishing shallower I would lower the TVG values. I just returned from a fishing trip on three different vessels using the FCV-1150. It was interesting that for the same fishery each skipper used different settings. I personally will use more gain than most, but more gain means more clutter. I look for patterns (fish targets) in the clutter and then will use the clutter control to clean up the display.
