best place to tee autopilot

Installing Nav300 and already have a second station tee'ed behind the lower helm. Can i just tee the Octopus pump into the tee where the second station is tee'ed. Thanks

The most effective place to install an autopilot reversible pump is tee’d into the three hydraulic lines (Starboard, Port, and Compensating/Return) between the lower helm and the steering cylinder. If you wish to do that near the second station that should work okay. It is often easier to mount the pump in the stern or midship, closer to the cylinder and the primary plumbing runs. I always recommend a set of cutoff valves so you can cut the pump from the rest of system in case of leaks or blown pump.
